Post NSS
So NSS has come and gone. It was vastly anticipated and definitely produced results. There was loads to learn and experience in between, but I'll get to the specifics after orders have been sent out and I've mentally put my feet up a bit. But for now here are some pictures! A peak at my new haircut, (yes the necklace matches the sign and shelves) the before and after of the booth (I loved planning and executing this!!), my beauty of a sister (who flew halfway across the country to help at the show) and printer pals at the paper party.
Brick & Mortar
Papersheep is in a store (an actual brick and mortar store)! Yay! We are super thrilled over here. Brooke and Michael Coxen own a wonderful boutique and design studio in Las Vegas called Paper & Home. If you are in the area be sure to make a stop and pay them a visit. The Coxens met in New York and relocated to Las Vegas to set up shop. Aren't they just the cutest husband and wife team? I think so, indeed.
Bon Anniversaire
Papersheep is two years old! A special thanks to Marta Writes, for her online giveaway was the perfect celebration. (isn't she the cutest?) Hooray!
And we're off
Design? check. Ink? check.
Paper and envelops? check. check.
Polymer plate? check!
My very first polymer plate came in the mail yesterday and I'm chomping at the bit to get into the printing press studio. This will be the first of many letterpressed paper products for the online shop. Also known as the paper side of Papersheep. Stay tuned.

Papersheep loves paper
More paper love goes to the white paper flowers commissioned as decorations for a 'Here Comes Spring' soirée. The lilies brightened up the table during dinner and the panel welcomed friends at the door. Both were easy and inexpensive.

The color wheel
Continuing on this theme of inspiration... here are a few pictures that have got me excited about paint swatches again. This gorgeous home of Abigail Ahern was recently featured on Design*Sponge. It inspired my newest color palette featuring gray with shades of purple mixed in. Do you think these shades will go with my new green velvet couch? Or perhaps they can freshen up my minimalist bedroom. I also love the way the bright pink accent chair makes this room all fit together. Which may be why I've decided to paint my previously black curtain rods bright pink! Now to just get the wall colors to compliment...
Old becomes new
I've been thinking a lot about paper lately. And it's because, we've all been hearing quite a bit about our new found electronic communication. We flirt via text message, ponder via twitter burst, and converse through email. News and entertainment alldevoured online. Do kids in school still even pass notes? Do they fly paper airplanes?
Well the Dundler Mifflin's of the world may be worried, but I'm not. I still believe that people like to announce their happiest events on something solid, and tangible. I also think this gives paper a chance to reinvent it's purpose. Above are some invitations I made for two of my favorite peoples' wedding. Recipients said how much they liked the heavy stock and the tactile feel of the letterpressed design. I'm working on some new ideas for another announcement of sorts and wondering what I can do to push the envelope (oh yes, pun intended). My latest quest is see of I can continue to use this traditional form of printing to express modern day taste.
