This weekend, I discoverd that the best way to chase away a dreary gray winter day is to BAKE. Yes, I know this might come as a surprise to those of you who know me (think of it as practice for the next dessert Olympics). But really, it worked! I combined sweet things, and got a yummy result. I even brought some to work today in hopes of doing some persuading (no such luck). Hopefully I'm more successful at bringing you some warmth on this blustery February day!
Here's a recipe to try.

Hey sailor
A new kind of flock
I've recently added to the collection of goods in my Etsy shop. Papersheep is now handmade knits AND hand sewn and embroidered pillows! Check them out and send me feedback, I'd love to hear your comments. Or just enjoy your visit to the shop!

Groundhogs & their shadows
Today it is so windy in NYC that my 40+ story building is swaying like a ship at sea! Which makes me think that I'm done with winter and ready for bike weather to come back. Here is a picture from last time it was warm enough to bike around town. {I may be a bit Mom sick too, --you know home sick for Mom.} Hi Momma dear!

Birds of a feather
I've decided that this blog is now a visual platform to keep in touch with friends and family, by sharing project ideas and inspiration. Here is a sneak peek of what I'm working on lately. More to come, but hello and welcome!
